Oliver nodded, already going through various hide-aways when his face cleared up. "My dad has a cabin in the Highlands. Its got all the wards you can think of and no one knows about it." He put Sophie down and gave her a dazzling, if completely fake, smile.
"What would you say if we go on an adventure? Do you like adventures?" Hopefully they would find a way to make this sound like a holiday rather than...whatever it was. "Why don't you go and grab some stuff for our little trip, adventury stuff, and then off we go?"
Apparently that had been a sign of sorts as the moment that Oliver proposed to go off there was suddenly a reporter hovering on a broomstick in front of the window while the doorbell rang simultaneously. Oliver's eyes widened and without even thinking he pushed himself in front of Sophie and Katie (a small part of his mind remarked that Katie was bound to protest against that at some point) and hurled a charm at the window, turning it into a mirror where the reporter wouldn't be able to see anything but his own reflection.
"Let's get some stuff for you and Sophie," Oliver said in a flat voice, doing his utmost best to keep up a facade of cheerfulness and keep from frightening Sophie.
