"Katie, that's really all there is to it as of now." Oliver shrugged and frowned. He wasn't used to having his actions questioned and suddenly he got a hint of how it must have felt for Katie when he was demanding to be involved in her decisions with Sophie. He sighed in resignation. They would have to return to this later.
Upon learning that Sophie has asked about Flint - a normal reaction, Oliver reminded himself - his expression fell as a sharp pang of pain twisted his insides. "He...does he visit regularly?" Oliver heard himself asking, an odd tinge to his voice. Knowing how much the other man cared for Sophie and how much he was there for her might be good to know before telling the child.
