This place is a couple of shades seedier than the other, with garish lighting and a narrow back porch overlooking the Shallows district that straggles along the bank of the sluggish river, its paving mostly sunk in mud. The crowd is thicker here, louder and more inclined to get in his way; one young woman comes up and tries to hang on his arm.
