BEFORE: Thorfinn
[info]theyseemerowlen
2015-02-19 07:51 pm UTC (link)
Thorfinn set up extensive covers for why he would not be at work. He put in a small request for vacation on Wednesday, to leave Thursday and return Monday. This would cover any questions for why he was missing from work on Friday. He even goes on the other days to take extensive photographic evidence of his trip.

He returns Friday to set up the glamours. Being rather good at this, no one is recognizable even under utmost scrutiny. Things have been cleared with Fletcher that, in case it is needed/portkeys don't work/the anti-apparition jinx hasn't been lifted in the area, that they can escape through the Floo Network if deemed absolutely necessary.

BEFORE: Hallam
[info]modusmutandis
2015-02-21 07:34 pm UTC (link)
Hallam and his wife collaborate with Thorfinn acting essentially as witnesses for each other on the trip. Hallam also lets Marcelia spend the day Finn and him are doing DE business to go shopping so that there is further 'proof' of them being there during the time of the trial.

Hallam hexes his target to use the man as a scapegoat to mislead the Aurors if/when they went after them- during or after the escape- and takes his place at the trial under Finn's glamour.

It's not a secret that Fletcher and Walden are old friends, so it also wasn't a surprise that Fletcher allowed himself time to attend the trial. For support. He was himself, and he took a seat where allowed, and he sat grim-faced throughout the entire thing.

The Before: Antonin

Earlier in the day, Antonin cursed one of the guards that was on-duty at the trial, who is lying dead in some back alley. Disguised as this guard, thanks to Thorfinn's glamors, he situates himself directly beside MacNair for the sentencing.

Frank was present at the trial as a DMLE representative and an Auror guard for MacNair. I imagine him standing very stoically off to the side somewhere for most of it, until Shit Starts Going Down.

Though the official Auror Line is likely women and children first to protect the civilians, Frank knows well enough how capable Lily is, so he won't interfere with her defense. Or offense. ;)

Lily was present as a witness at the trial. When not on the stand to give her testimony, she sat in the small lot of benches off to the side, nearly entirely bathed in shadows.

...and, you know, when things all go to hell, she's up in the thick of it. Her defences are airtight (she silently gives thanks to all the training she has brushed up on) and she even manages to land a few hits of her own.

Enjoy being covered in painful boils, DEs!

Rhett was present as a DMLE representative and auror. Since there are civilians present, his form of combat won't be as aggressive as it would be if this was happening in a different location. So a lot of his spells will be meant to subdue or distract. Through the course of this, he does hit Malfoy with the duck charm, condemning him to produce ducks temporarily every time he attempts to use his wand.

Thorfinn pops in with the rest of the DE's at the right time, all glamoured and decked out in their high fashion Death Eater garb. He's supposed to be helping grab the Barrister, but Lily stops him. There's some hexes on both part - whether one or not hits Lily he doesn't see. He gets a little injury to his BEAUTIFUL FACE from the mask being hit and shoving into it, which Dolohov or whoever can heal quite nicely.

Being thwarted by a mudblood is highly embarrassing and he sincerely wants to hex her into oblivion.

Lucius comes in with the DEs as planned, and he is not playing nice. Up until Rhett gets him, he's going for damage on anyone who gets in their way. (Probably no avada kedavras unless someone's really causing trouble, though--blood and gore is way better for making a point than a pretty corpse!)

Once the duck thing happens (and after a brief period of "WTF"), he'll be filling the place with ducks as a distraction. Panicked ducks flying around can be very chaotic!

For Frank- slashing spell to his shoulder/wand arm/upper back? Something he can recover from, but it'll put him in Mungo's for a bit, at least.

At the given signal, when all Death Eater Shit is let loose, Antonin immediately grabs MacNair by the arm and Port Keys out of the courtroom to a rooftop above where the Ministry is located. First, he knocks MacNair unconscious because it's easier to deal with him that way. Then he casts a Dark Mark, which glows brightly even in the middle of the day.

From there, he apparates with MacNair to Malfoy Manor, where he locks MacNair up in a prepared room cell in the basement.

Thorfinn does a few well-aimed hexes/jinxes during the whole skirmish. Nothing deadly or even really long lasting injury wise, since that wasn't the point of the whole rescue operation. What they were is up to whoever may get hit by them.

He ends up leaving almost immediately after his mask gets hit, because he doesn't want to be exposed and hitches a ride with the other DE who was supposed to be getting the Barrister with him, on their portkey.

Lucius is one of the DEs escorting Macnair out. He might be using Walden as a human shield on the way out, especially once he can't cast anything but ducks.

While Fletcher is there and knows the plan, he does not take part in this. In fact, what he does is usher several people back who are innocent bystanders. His role in this is unlimited access to the floo network, should any of his companions need it.

Hallam is focused on the escape without issues. He is careful with his placement of hexes and wards to make sure any Aurors following will be kept far enough behind them to not catch the trial.

He also lays a magical trial to the poor sap of who he is glamoured to look like to the Aurors can have a fun time chasing that bastard.

Lucius probably gets a little torn up while he's WTFing about the ducks. (That is not a sentence I ever expected to type.) Then again, Antonin's staying at the manor, so it's not like he can't take a few days to recover with Healer supervision.

If anyone asks, he's taken ill with dragon pox, and is still at the very contagious stage.

At some point, we will transfigure these ducks into something else and make a generous donation to... a soup kitchen or a food pantry or something. Narcissa can only eat so much duck.

Lavinia, at 16, will be under house arrest for the next 3-5 years. Mrs. Macnair is getting off without much of anything as it'll be proved that she didn't know anything about this. And Walden, as a former convict and DE, will return to Azkaban (or he'll be sentenced to, anyway, before the DE's abduct him). During the course of the trial, it will publicly come out that Lady Noir sent the poison to both Lavinia and Walden Macnair for the various poisonings.
