Inter-Office Memo; Confidential

While I realize that you have much to work on in your transition back to the Department (welcome back, by the by), I wanted to ask for some clarification on recent remarks made by Auror Dawlish.  In Auror A. Longbottom's recent report on this morning's Williams case, she asked for assistance from the rest of the Department, as is normal protocol for such high profile instances.  This is, as you know, the first case to which we can directly associate the so-called Lady Noir, and it may be our first real break in getting anywhere close to discovering her identity.  With that in mind, it seems somewhat strange that Auror Dawlish would outright refuse to contribute anything to the investigation; and, when pressed, would offer up a clearly ludicrous an excuse as to other confidential cases in his purview.  If such cases exist, and I am mistaken, by all means- please tell me to shut my gob.  If not, however, this might bear some further inquiry, sir.

Respectfully,

Auror F. Longbottom

Absolute crock. That anything falling within our jurisdiction is beyond anyone's "pay grade" is inaccurate.

I'll look into it; thank you, Frank. I'll be reviewing the office's case workload in due course.
