22 January meeting of the Order of the Phoenix (IC/OOC)

This meeting was called by Fabian after the attack on Dorcas. The agenda is as follows:

Recent attacks: Information, updates, responses.
- Attack on Dorcas.
- Attack on the French Ambassador's mansion.
- Previous attacks (Gringotts).
Recruitment.
- Tonks.
- Bilius Weasley.
- Any other candidates.
Security & silence oath, requested by Lily last meeting.

	Dorcas arrived a bit late, just after Edgar finished his report. She's moving gingerly and slowly but the pain is more easily managed Quite frankly she probably shouldn't have come at all, but she's stubborn as hell. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Lily would like to bring up her report from analysing the poison sample from Hogwarts: there are some extremely rare ingredients that took quite a bit of research to even identify. Someone went to a lot of trouble to create this potion.

On the bright side? Rare ingredients means they are hard to source, which means that very few people would be able to provide them. She would like the Order to get in touch with their Black Market contacts to find out who's been buying and try to pick up the trail from there.

Fabian had a discussion with Lily about this subject and this was what they came up with: a binding oath for members of the Order to prevent discussing the Order and its activities unless two members are present and agree. Alternatively, they discussed a binding oath that would forbid discussing the Order unless it served the aims of the Order. (Fabian reminded everybody that he'd had a long blather about these aims at the last meeting which, if they went for this kind of oath, they'd need to agree on.)

Or some combination of both, which would be a tricky bit of magic in addition to the highly illegal contractual binding that any of this was going to be in the first place.
