Narcissa arrives precisely on time, bearing a bottle of Taittinger Nocturne Sec and bacon wrapped scallops in a Dijon cream sauce.

To one of the less visible wards, perhaps? (Janus Thickey Ward for permanent residents comes to mind, but others could work!)

That's an excellent idea, as it's not a glamour ward. Also there might be a grant for a Healer or trainee committing to work there for a time.

Dulci is interested in following up on Narcissa's discussion of the Malfoy grants so WICCA can assist in making sure students have books and needed supplies.

Narcissa has been thinking about a casino night to help raise funds to purchase school supplies, books, even tutors for students who can't afford them without putting undue strain on their families. It would be a change from the balls we've been having.

Perhaps every invite could come with a few Galleons worth of chips. They're welcome to buy more with real money. Chips can be used to gamble with or to purchase entries into a raffle with several prizes. Any chips left over at the end of the night can be kept as souvenirs, but hold no actual monetary value. All money collected remains with WICCA to fund scholarships.

This is certainly a good idea and Dulci is in favour of it, though she thinks there may need to be a delay to allow coffers and vaults to refill.

By then the current grants should also be allotted.

This may not be possible, but it does overlap somewhat with talk of Muggleborn tolerance projects: perhaps a grant to provide small expansion of the Hogwarts library collection to include a selection of significant Muggle works? Not classics, necessarily, though they certainly have merit. But for a school that boasts a Muggle Studies course, its library is lacking in primary sources, so to speak. It may benefit students to have access to selected reading material to speaks to authentic Muggle experience, in addition to what they already have of Wizard perspectives on Muggle life.

Lily also thinks this is a marvelous idea. Literature has a way of penetrating hearts and minds of young ones in a more poignant and compelling way than simple straight lecture.

Penelope agrees that the service project may stand to have the most benefit from a participation standpoint. Essays are good, but detached from action--she thinks actually drawing people together for a common, concrete cause seems more productive if the goal is to foster tolerance and understanding.

(Whoops meant to give that its own separate category)

The girls who attended appear to be Davis, Jones, MacDougal, and Parkinson (NB others who were dropped came but they may not count); Dulci is definitely looking to add more girls, including Muggleborns without family connections.

Are WICCA meetings held at Dulci's house regularly? Or does hosting rotate? Narcissa would like to offer to host the next gathering, though she doesn't want to step on anyone's toes.
