What: Quidditch World Cup Final!
Where: Quidditch Trillenium Stadium
When: August 22
Status: IC/OOC. Lots of ridiculous stats under the cut. Also, don't post about the final score until Saturday!

QUIDDITCH | Senegal v. Ireland

SCORING NOTES:
→ The number in (parentheses) after a Beater's hit indicates the severity of the hit, on a scale from 1 to 7. 1 means the player only barely dodged the hit, but a 6 means that the player needed medical attention and the game play stopped for a short time.

→ 7 means that the player was removed from the game due to their injuries. Reserve players are not used in the QWC, so if a player received a 7, their team had to play down one member for the rest of the match.

→ All numbers were done from a random number generator. Any questions, just let me (Jeanne) know.

GAMEPLAY NOTES:
→ After raucous partying in the Senegal supporters' camps, the Senegal team mascots (yumboes) were arrested Friday evening. Yumboes are a kind of African House Elf. In protest of their arrest, the Senegalese team almost refused to play entirely. The Yumboes escaped from custody in the early hours of Saturday morning (they have the ability to vanish at will) and stole every bit of food within a ten mile radius around the stadium.

→ There were several players removed from the game due to injury. For the sake of timing, the order of removal was: Olivia Moran (minute 30), Amara Traoré (minute 56), Morgaro Gomis (minute 70).

Okay, please hold off on this. This was not discussed with the mods at ALL, and we wouldn't have approved of an attack on the QWC had we known about it.

Given that this was discussed extensively in various ic posts, I didn't realize you guys were unaware. Apologies.

The Potters have excellent seats, though not a box. They'd rather be out in the crowd.

James cheers enthusiastically every time Ireland accomplishes, well, anything, and he has shamrocks shoot out of his wand every time they score.

He is over-the-top ridiculous, and probably embarrasses his children, but he doesn't care I've bit. He's having fun.

The Malfoys, naturally, have the best box. Some people might argue that the Minister has the best box, but that box has the Minister in it, which devalues it considerably in the Malfoys' opinion.

They make the required social rounds, stopping in the neighbouring boxes (including the Minister's) to chat about inconsequential things and receiving visitors in their box as well. Anyone who is invited in will be offered food and wine.

Maria Bulstrode is sitting with them, the rift between her and the Malfoys having been mended. (Or at least on it's way there, though no one would know there was any tension to look at them.)

Vicky has a pass to the WWN box, and she does stop in there and grab some of the snacks and say hello. She spends most of the time out on the stands, however, hanging out in the nosebleed seats with her friends.

She is, naturally, decked out in all green and cheers loudly for Ireland. She also casts charms on anyone who wants them, turning clothing and other props into cheering things and creating a riotous display of color (mostly green and orange) everywhere she goes.

Imogen watched from seats that are nowhere near the seats she should be sitting in. Her parents insist that she should be thrilled to be at the game at all, but really, if they were willing to step up and do what needed to be done, they could be in the boxes like they should be.

She sulks about the seat location for the first part of the game, but once Ireland takes the lead, she forgets about how upset she's supposed to be and gets into cheering for the home team.
