This is the IC/OOC thread for the August WICCA meeting.

Kettle & Cup has been rented out to WICCA for the evening. Refreshments are set up on the main counter--wine, butterbeer, tea, lemonade, pumpkin juice, cheese, fruit, sausage rolls, stuffed mushrooms, cheese straws, pecan and goat cheese crostini, blueberry and yougurt soup, buttermilk corn soup with shrimp, scones, and pastries.

Agenda items are as follows:

The garden party to be held later this month. Proceeds from this will be used to fund the DMLE food project.
The Fall Concert to benefit WADA.
The Holiday Ball.
The family event to tie in with the Holiday Ball. This will benefit the children's ward at St. Mungo's.
Fundraising efforts for the Dirk Cresswell Scholarship.
Further outreach, particularly targeting women under 35.
Any other business.

Bina arrived early with Lyra Derrick in tow. Since she's on duty later tonight, she'll stick to tea. But definitely will sample the soup and the crostini.

She'll make the rounds, making small talk with everyone, introducing Lyra to folks, and generally being amiable and friendly.

Small smirks may be sent to Pansy & Gwen throughout the meeting.

She will keep an eye out to make sure Lyra is okay throughout the mtg.

	Lyra comes with Bina, dressed and groomed to look respectable. She is tempted to take a glass of wine but decides to stick to lemonade for tonight, especially since Bina can't drink. 	Pansy arrives early, as usual, and eats noticeably (well, if anyone is paying attention) more than she has at the past few meetings. 	Bela has come prepared with photos and quotes for the venue she feels would be perfect for this event, and she welcomes any feedback from the other members. It's clear this is a project she is excited about developing. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Bina will report that she's been in contact with WADA and is in conversation with the director to select which student groups will perform. She's also managed to acquire some WADA faculty and alumni to lend their talents to the concert.

She will ask if people want a theme for the concert, or if they will let people chose any pieces.

She also suggests that WICCA members who would like to perform can have the opportunity to do so.

	This will be held the day of the ball and will be free to attend, though donations will be encouraged for those who can afford it. The proceeds will be used to provide presents for children in less-fortunate families, with any excess being donated to the St. Mungo's children's ward. Pansy is equipped with a list of potential caterers with the notion that, to keep expenses down, a light meal will not be provided but carnival-style, children-friendly snacks will be on hand. There's a second list of games and craft-type activities for the families as well. She opens the floor to suggestions for alterations or additions to this list, and asks for volunteers to help man said activities, especially from WICCA's younger members (though of course anyone is welcome to help!)

	Bina has a few suggestions: -In addition to the official mentorship, what about unofficial pairing of new witches with others under 35 who are slightly older. -An open meet and greet like the cocktail party in June but perhaps for the U-35 group in general? -Getting on the WWN to profile a few of the younger witches and what WICCA adds to their life. 	And Gwen and Pansy ate likely out for the same reason as Narcissa. Bela can't come on the show because it would turn into them getting on her about what she did to Oliver. Which leaves...
