Gringott's Interoffice Memo Re: Quidditch
To: Delilah Selwyn
From: Bill Weasley
Re: Quidditch World Cup

Mr. Griphook has asked me to make sure that arrangements are made for the bank's box at the QWC. Are you up to organizing the hosting? Food, drink, and waitstaff are probably the big areas.

Oh, and I'm sure your mother is taking care of her customers, but if she needs to put anyone on our guest list, there's room.

Bugnort can do anything you need, but he's not great at figuring out what needs to be done for humans.

I'm all set to make the arrangements. It'll be taken care of. Do we have a caterer we normally use or is that up to my discretion?

Yes, I'm sure she'll be fine but I'll extend the offer to her.

Are you lending me Bugnort as my own little assistant so I can set up the QWC arrangements? How sweet, it's almost like a gift. (I'm kidding)

Everything'll be great, I promise.

Bugnort has a list of people we normally request bids from. He's also got the guest list, but we'll want to make sure we lay on a good amount of drink. I'm told the boxes at these things are often a door-to-door cocktail party.

This office would be much more difficult to run without Bugnort, but when you need his assistance for company matters, that's what he's here for.

You'll want to check with Magical Games and Sports and see what paperwork/passes the caterers and our security people will need. Make sure to let them know that at least some of our staff are not human. Our goal here is to impress, so Asset Protection will be impressive.

Of course. If there's one thing I know how to do, its host a party that's meant to impress. Years of Pureblooded upbringing taught me There will be plenty of refreshments to go around.

I was just teasing you, Mr. Weasley. I'm sorry, won't happen again.

I'll be sending owls to Mr. McGonagall and his secretary momentarily to get that all cleared up.

Please don't stop teasing me just because I am very good at deadpan reactions, Miss Selwyn.

If Mr. McGonagall's people ask, tell him you think it's probably goblins and maybe trolls. No use worrying them about sphinxes just yet, although that is the plan.

My apologies. Most of my jokes have not gone over well in the past and I am not well versed at being funny. I'll attempt humor again in person where it's not so difficult to sense your response.

Aren't Trolls likely to Yes, sir. Of course. I'll be sure to let him know about the Goblins and Trolls, and keep the Sphinxes under wraps for the time being.

I'll see if there's a training course you could take on the subject in the catalog. We can put it in your annual goals.

Sorry, there's nothing listed in the normal training regimen. If you find a class, write up a description and we'll see about fitting it into the training budget.

Two more things.

First, Mr. Griphook himself, the MD, is likely to show up, so keep that in mind.

Second, and I don't expect anything to come of this. He's inviting Hor, Beloved of Amun, from the British Museum. I don't expect Hor or his "+1" to come. They don't eat or drink, but some mummies do follow quidditch. Some mummies play quidditch, too, which is a wholly remarkable sight. If they come, they'll want a quiet area away from the living guests where they can see the pitch.

Third, since it's Senegal, we may have some Francophone guests. While I do really well reading and writing it, I learned to speak French in Luxor, and apparently my accent is positively Napoleonic. Is your French any good? Or maybe we can get that new teller from France to act as a translator. I haven't met her. Can you tell me if she'd be suitable?

I'm sure I'll figure it out in my own, and Impress you with my comedic repertoire by the end of the year.

I'll makes sure I have everything necessary in place in case of any of those scenarios playing out. Everything will be set, done, and made to impress even Mr. Griphook and there will be a quiet section of the box I case his guests show up.

I have no idea, I haven't met her either. However, I will make it a point to check her out and see if she'd be capable and interested in helping out.

I've gotten word from Mr. McGonagall that trolls are strictly forbidden from the QWC. It may be best if you contact him yourself with other non-human staff requests.
