Headmistress McGonagall,

I write to you to offer the chance to speak to the Prophet's readership regarding the recent arrests of Professor Sirius Black and Fabian Prewett. While I have no doubt you're as shocked as the rest of the nation about the arrests and their impending trial on murder charges, there are implications for the school, such as who will take the Transfiguration post next year and the security of the school and the student body with the school's wardsmith in gaol.

Should you wish to address these issues or any others regarding the recent arrest, the Prophet would be pleased to offer you a forum. If you wish to offer a statement, I will print it; should you prefer an interview, I'd be happy to come to Hogwarts to speak with you in person. Please let me know what I can do to help you and the school in this difficult time.
