18 July Clue Investigation by the Order of the Phoenix (IC/OOC)

Warnings: Discussion of Death Eater-y deeds. Arguing.

This impromptu working meeting of the Order was (informally) called by Bill, to examine the clues given to him by the once-and-future prisoner, Fabian Prewett

	Bill apparated outside the wards, and carefully let himself into the farm. He waved at Hannah's pony and grinned when he noticed what he was doing. 	Fred arrives with George, but looks a bit distraught and mostly just sort of watches the whole meeting and observes. He does ask to observe all the experiments and tests going on, as George eloquently put it, "for learning purposes" (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Bilius lives there, obv. (I had totally missed that Yorkshire meant their farm.) He made sure Hannah was elsewhere, I assume. He would have provided drinks and food. 	Bill has a question about hair for the potions experts and maybe the DMLE folks. If we have her hair, can we use polyjuice to figure out who she is? Or at worst, figure out in a month once we brew it what she looks like? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	If she doesn't, George may be able to brew something slightly faster than the usual month. Three weeks, maybe. They've been working on a quick disguise potion that shares some basics with polyjuice and he might be able to use the same technique. Not something that would hold up as a normal polyjuice, but something good enough to get an idea. (Reply to this) (Parent)

I don't think Uncle Fabian was convinced that if it were in the possession of the Hitwizards, who were taunting him about his imminent return to Azkaban, would use it to clear his name, or to successfully find and eliminate Lady Noir.

But I had no idea what I had until I was leaving my Grandmother's house. I'm hoping some of it will be useful to us for one of those two endeavors.

	The last of the envelopes contained what was probably Uncle Fabian's formerly-best-handkerchief. It had a long red smear of blood on it. He didn't know exactly what the origin of it was, but if Fabian gave it to him, it was probably hers. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Uncle F and SB were having a drink in a muggle tap house. What are the odds that they'd just happen on N doing her deed?

Who knew they were going there?

Who knew when they left?

How long would it take N to kill her victim?

Did they habitually walk that way? Was it predictable?

Noir must've had someone to tell her where they were. Barman may know. Should be questioned. By someone who knows how to talk to muggles.

Who Summoned the DMLE?

Noir, of course.
Does she have a special hatred of Fabian? Or is it just that he's come the closest to hitting her?
Scrimgeour? --I don't think so. He's a tool, not a villain. (Unless under Imperius Curse)--feed that to Grandmother

Death Eaters -- Any Reason? Maybe they're going to Kill Noir and want the investigation to stop. Speculation on my part...

	Bill wasn't there, so he'll defer to James on that one. Bill is as likely to indulge in wishful thinking as the next order member. It's equally valid in speculative terms to wonder if there are former Death Eaters who see an opportunity to eliminate all their competition in one swat. (Reply to this) (Parent)
