Dear Mr Snape,

I hope you'll forgive my presumption, but I find myself in somewhat urgent need of establishing a means of supporting myself following graduation. I write in the hopes that we may be of assistance to each other. I understand that you are opening your own venture and will surely have need of capable support. Should you have already made arrangements - which seems quite likely giving the lateness of my enquiry, for which I apologise - I hope you may be inclined to recommend me to your former employer, who will surely be feeling keenly the loss of such an able and irreplaceable potioneer.

I am presuming upon your acquaintance with myself and my family as to my character, upbringing and values, and I enclose with this letter information regarding my academic qualifications, both formal and informal in preparation for NEWTs. I am willing - indeed, keen - to start as soon as possible upon completion of the school year.

Should you wish to discuss any aspect of this in person, this weekend coming is a Hogsmeade weekend, and I shall be at your disposal.
