Dearest,

My Grandfather needs help next weekend in securing some materials. Phoenix tail feathers, to be precise. Apparently it involves climbing, so you see, I hope, why I can't abide the thought of him going forth alone. I've promised him we'll come along.

I'm making a pork roast tonight, so do try to be home before midnight for your own sake. Not to mention that of my figure, as I'm liable to eat it all myself if I don't have someone to stop me.
