11 May meeting of the Order of the Phoenix (IC/OOC)

	Bilius arrived about 5-10 minutes early, looking significantly worse for wear. He would have given Fabian a shoulder squeeze before taking up a spot in the corner. He's got a notebook and his pencil is scratching over that more often than not. He seems to be more focused on his writing than on the meeting. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

This is Fabian's to explain so he'll just tell the story. He has this from Gwen, so he's reporting what he was told: Peter Pettigrew rescued Gwen from the Knocker and he's talking to her about coming in from the cold. Pettigrew claims he's under an Unbreakable Vow not to talk about the Death Eaters directly, which is why they haven't taken this to the Aurors. So he wants to talk to the Order and/or Fabian, to get the Knocker identified/caught.

Fabian has bruited about the idea of dosing with Veritaserum--probably both of them since he sure wouldn't agree to it otherwise in Pettigrew's shoes--and then talking. This is not a definitive plan, though, and Fabian is open to other ideas.

Personally Fabian doesn't believe much in Pettigrew's good intentions, but Pettigrew did save Gwen's life, and that's getting Pettigrew a hearing.

	Tonks would've made mention that she'd want to be there on the off chance that this does turn out to be a trap. It'd be useful to have a DMLE backup or two even if she's off duty. No poly juice potion necessary for her. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Traps aside, Dedalus voices concerns regarding mixing Veritaserum with Vows - of all kinds, but especially Unbreakable. Lest anyone think he's not absolutely grumpy with Pettigrew (because he really, really is), he clarifies that it would be wasteful to lose a potential source over death by careless question.
