Anthony's father has let him borrow the car to take his friends to Blackpool Pleasure Beach Amusement park for the day because Anthony insists that while apparating would be simpler and quicker, it'll be funner to drive. Some have opted to apparate anyway, and meet them there. Roller coasters and other thrill rides await, along with Muggle shows and fast food!

Though a Muggle village, Upper Flagley in Yorkshire has long been home to a large number of wizarding families as well, much like Ottery St. Catchpole and Godric's Hollow. Anthony and his family live in a well kept stone home, and Anthony's parents are very happy to say hello to all his friends... much to Anthony's embarrassment. He wants to get on the road straight away, as soon as everybody arrives.

	Padma arrives a few minutes early and is happy to talk to Anthony's parents. They're quite a relief, actually, after the conversation she had with another student's father on Wednesday, and she's fascinated by all the Muggle things in their house. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Mandy lives less than 15 miles away so getting to Anthony's was relatively easy. She was there at least 15 minutes early, because she can't not be and was nice to his parents thanking them for allowing them to go. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

You know, I hadn't realised before this that 1, there's a magical place so close to the random place I chose for her home years ago and 2 that Anthony lived there, so I think yes, definitely. It looks like the village might be in/near Bradford and Mandy's on the other side of Leeds, so she's likely been in the village often. I'm not sure if they met before Hogwarts, but even if they didn't she'd probably have found out within a few weeks of them meeting for the first time, so she's probably visited at least once if not multiple times over the years (assuming that he doesn't mind.)

From the outside, the car looks like an ordinary 1995 Mini British Open Classic, way too tiny to fit everybody who's coming. But Anthony's father purchased it from the Ministry of Magic - it had once been used by the Minister's Office and was charmed so the interior is much more spacious than expected and is able to slide through gaps that non-enchanted cars would not be able to manage. Anthony takes advantage of these charms to weave through traffic, though Muggles on the road don't seem to notice this being done, nor the fact that the car is packed with people.

Anthony drives with the top down, sunglasses on, playing music on the stereo. He gets a kick from introducing his Wizarding friends to Muggle music. He's actually a very conscientious driver, and if people get too rowdy, he tells them to stop because he doesn't want to get into an accident. He doesn't want to bust up the car and ruin any future chances of borrowing it in the future. Also, his father has promised Anthony that upon finishing Hogwarts, he'd either buy him a new broomstick or give him this car, so Anthony wants to keep it in good shape.

The drive from Yorkshire to Blackpool is 51 miles, so it takes them less than an hour to arrive.

	Since Dean offered, Padma decided to squeeze in the front seat with him (lap or not depends on how roomy it is). It's a better position to see everything and ask about all the controls in the car. She doesn't touch anything, because she's afraid she'll make Anthony crash, but she definitely has Dean and Anthony explain what all the knobs do. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Hannah has been in a car before, but never a magicked one, so she was somewhat unnerved by the unusual method of driving. But she kept quiet and just closed her eyes if it got too weird. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Mandy sat in the back, probably next to Terry and/or Michael, and was fairly quiet throughout the ride. Her dad has a car, being a squib, so in theory this wasn't new method of transportation, but they don't use it much, that plus all of the charms left her fairly intrigued in the drive and the way the car moved. She may, or may not have tried to analise the spells, if at all possible.

	Blackpool Pleasure Beach is your typical Muggle amusement park, and if you're a Wizard who's used to flying broomsticks, it might not be that huge a deal, but Anthony thinks it's cool. 	For Mandy, Anthony would pay for whatever she wanted. 	Well, Anthony is rather fond of Mandy, so if he sees her looking at something like she wants it, but doesn't get it, Anthony will come up behind and say, "Hey HEY! 	The park closes at 7:00 pm, which is still early, according to Anthony. If people want to apparate home, they're welcome to, but Anthony will suggest a joy ride, maybe going to get something to eat? Any other suggestions? (Reply to this) (Thread)
