- Zell. They know each other. OBVS. I don't think they were the bestest best of friends, though? Honestly, I always kind of interpreted it as Zell wanting so desperately to be Squall's best friend that he felt resentful/jealous of Irvine coming along and trying to horn in on the brotimes. Plus, he just doesn't get Irvine's in-your-face attitude. I imagine over ten year's time they've settled in and become better buds, but probably still annoy each other with a certain frequency if that makes sense? Like sometimes they just butt heads and the best thing to do is walk away for a little while.
- Red. She's not over twenty yet! Le gasp! I suppose that makes her exempt from being hit on? Which is cool because I don't think she'd be super attracted to him. ONLY BECAUSE Selphie is her absolute idol and I feel like she will always kind of ship them. So that puts Irvine in an 'off limits' category in her brain because SELVINE 4 EVER!!!!!!111one
- Al-Cid. Fellow Galbadian! Fellow gun user, too. He's probably asked for an upgrade or two and offered to pay Irvine with a charming smile and a wink.
- Elena. I can see her trying to dislike him for being such an over the top flirt -- ugh! What bullshit! It's so disingenuous! -- but she might also be kind of attracted to him. Classic bad boy crush scenario. She'll probably go out of her way to avoid him because of it, and spend any moments caught in close proximity to him in awkward silence. Right up until the moment her klutziness kicks in and she loudly knocks into something. Elena is just a couple of years younger and attended Galbadia until she was in her late teens. Her father was/still is an instructor there so maybe they at least know each other in passing? Which could be really fun (ad dangerous for her) because she's undercover and counting on no one really knowing her or snooping into her reasons for working as a lowly receptionist.
