In response to her question, Ron actually looked at her expression for the firs time since they'd started on this topic. He'd never seen himself when he was arguing and didn't know why the hell it had started or how the hell to stop it - but he could imagine, especially from their earlier conversation on the journals, that it looked a little like that. He put the glasses down to run a hand over his face, shaking his head and pushing hair out of his face. "Not really," he admitted. "For roughly the same reason we both decided that wingless dragons were worth getting up in arms about?"
He could feel a flush spreading down his neck at her last question - because he hadn't meant to get her here under false pretences. "It was to show there were no hard feelings, yeah," he agreed. "But if you'd been just some bloke I didn't know from Adam..." Well, he probably would have just left it as it had ended on the journals. And he definitely wouldn't be buying the second round.
