This really was a mess. Because, yes, Evan had kissed people he hadn't been attracted to, but the point here was that Ginny seemed to be of a different opinion about what that meant and Evan wanted to know why and how. Except she couldn't provide an explanation because she, apparently, had not kissed people she wasn't attracted to. Evan was sure he was starting to develop a headache.
"If this is an incredibly roundabout way of asking me to kiss you, you really could have cut this shorter," Evan informed her. But then, he also wasn't too sure he had an answer to her question, because Evan wasn't sure whether he had ever kissed someone he was attracted to the way he was attracted to Ginny. He was sure he had been attracted to some of the people he had kissed, but differently. It wasn't a better or a worse, a stronger or a weaker attraction, just a different one, which helped not at all to clarify this situation.
"Wait," Evan paused and bit his lip (in a way that was definitely thoughtful rather than seductive, he was pretty sure). "Do you want me to kiss you?" He wasn't even too sure where they were at in this conversation now.
