She shook her head. "They wouldn't be around long enough to take offence if you betrayed them." She grinned almost evilly, mischief glinting in her brown eyes. She had to bite the inside of her mouth to keep from laughing. She never wanted Evan to feel like she was laughing at him, even though he amused her a great deal.
"One more," Ginny replied, "then stir the batter until the eggs are completely mixed in. I'll get the pan ready." She left him to it. She wasn't leaving him in the kitchen on his own, so she was confident he couldn't get into too much trouble with her right there. Going to the front door, where she'd left the boots she'd been wearing the night before, she got her wand out of the sheath in her shoe. With it in hand, she returned to the kitchen, and cleaned up the mess with a flick of her wrist. Feeling better about the state of things, she lit her range and began heating the skillet for cooking, adding butter for flavour and non-stick.
"Really?" Ginny smiled. "Does that have any correlation to cholesterol levels in Brits?"
