Bolduc Bidding War
By Quintus Veridian
BREAKING NEWS
The BIL transfer window became a little more cluttered today as it emerged that Anaïs Bolduc, Chaser for the Appleby Arrows and Canadian National Team, is one more player who may be making a transfer before the rigours of the World Cup begin.
23 year old Bolduc, who became a free agent when her three-year deal expired last week, is apparently the subject of a bidding war. Her former team are said to be competing against the Holyhead Harpies for the right to her signature on a new contract, the deadline for such a decision coming up fast. It is believed that the Caerphilly Catapults and Chudley Cannons dropped out of the running early on, leaving the Arrows
and Harpies to duke it out - though we imagine that Bolduc's agent and fiancé, Welshman Phillip Merrick, would much rather his future bride play for a team from his homeland.
Here at The Prophet, we cannot help but hope that Bolduc makes a leap for the Holyhead Harpies. Should she join the empty spot alongside Irishwoman Jessica Moran and Englishwoman Ginny Weasley, the Anglesey based side would have an entirely redheaded goalscoring line. We can practically smell the 'Attack of the Gingers' headlines from here!
Which team do you think that Anaïs Bolduc should sign for? Write in and let us know!
