When Aisling had been flirting with Remus on the journals she hadn't necessarily expected anything to come of it. There was a lot to be said about the pleasure Aisling got from teasing people and making them feel awkward. Saying that, she had't exactly not wanted to flirt with him. Whether Aisling had intended to end up on a date with Remus was a slightly different matter. She didn't really date. Aisling had, of course, been on dates before, but it seemed rather useless when majority of times she was far more interested in sex than actually meeting new people and learning things about them. Aisling was very much of the impression that she had enough friends and wasn't in a great need for more. Still, Remus had seemed nice, so why not. Besides, a date hardly excluded potential for sex.
The concert had gone well, Aisling was still impressed by just how popular Quake had become. It wasn't that she doubted their talent, hardly. She wouldn't have given up a career as a professional violinist for an orchestra if she had doubted the talent. Still, playing to the sort of audience Quake had was very different from playing the sort of audience the Philharmonia Orchestra had brought in. They were so much more responsive that it felt like producing a completely different type of music. She hadn't had time to change, apparating straight to the pub they had agreed to meet in. Her outfit wasn't quite what Aisling would usually wear to a date, or in general really, but there was a certain type of clothes that worked for concerts.
She spotted Remus at the bar almost as soon as she walked in. Aisling wasn't sure if he even knew who she was, but they had met before. Briefly at some charity event or another. They hadn't really spoken to each other, she didn't think, but Aisling certainly remembered it well enough to recognise him on sight. A few heads turned as she made the way from the entrance to the bar and Aisling wasn't even too sure if it was because they recognised her or because her dress was so incredibly shiny. The pub light certainly made it stand out more, but then, it was a dress worn to perform on stage at a rock concert.
"Hi," Aisling greeted Remus with a smile. "Glass of Pinot Grigio, please," she told the barmaid, before turning back to Remus. "I apologise for all the shine on my dress," she said with a small shrug. "I haven't had the time to change," she explained. It wasn't like it mattered greatly, but Aisling didn't particularly want to be thought of as the girl who felt the need to wear the world's shiniest dress to a date.
