At some point between seeing Andrew on Monday and having made plans to see him on Wednesday, Evan had realised that maybe he should have remembered that he had a dislocated shoulder. Mostly it was healed by now, the healing potions having done a great job. Still, early on Wednesday morning, Evan had gone to see a healer, just to make sure that he was actually okay to go skating. The healer hadn't been most pleased at the idea but they also had taught Evan a spell to cast on his shoulder to ensure he didn't cause any more damage to it. Apparently it wouldn't stop new injuries occurring but it would stop existing ones getting worse. Which essentially had boiled down to 'don't dislocate your other shoulder, Mr Potter' but the healer had also told Evan that he hoped he'd have a nice time at the ice rink, so that was something.
There was only one ice rink that Evan knew of in the magical world, even though he suspected that there were probably more. Still, one was plenty. So he had arranged to meet Andrew there. Evan was early, because Evan was always early, which left him sitting near the bit where you could get skates, waiting for Andrew to arrive. The rink wasn't very big but it was hardly small either, the feeling of cold air surrounding Evan. There were warming charms handed around like sweets, which Evan suspected was the main difference between a magic and Muggle ice rink. He had cast one on himself, since it meant he could get rid of his coat, before casting the spell on his shoulder that was meant to protect him from any further injury.
It wasn't long after that that Evan spotted Andrew arriving. He stood up, smiling at the other guy. "Hey," he said not hesitating to lean in to kiss Andrew. It was mostly chaste and haste, since Evan started speaking before having even properly pulled away. "I hope you can skate, because I have never skated before, so this could all end in a spectacular disaster," he informed Andrew, because it really could. Evan was very hopeful about no more injuries, though.
