Quite honestly, Evan had forgotten he had made a new friend. Or well, he had sort of agreed to meet someone for drinks after arguing over architecture. This was the second friend Evan had made in a week, which was pretty exciting, really. Albeit, Evan doubted that this new friendship was going to down the same path as his friendship with Andrew. Well, he hoped not, because he didn't actually have any more magical castles to hand out. What he did have, though, was a pint of lager for himself and a glass of lemonade for Blaise, who apparently didn't drink alcohol. Evan wasn't too sure why they were meeting in a pub if only one of them was bothering to drink alcohol, but it seemed a touch rude to point that out to someone you were making friends with.
Instead, Evan put the glass down as he rejoined Blaise at the table they had picked. It was at the back of the pub, less noisy that majority of the place. Despite having only been in the pub for ten minutes and only just gotten drinks, Evan had wasted no time to start an argument with Blaise. Like how his and Ron's friendship was based on nothing but chess, Evan felt that his and Blaise's might be purely based on being able to argue. So far, Evan decided, he liked Blaise.
"I'm not saying that media does, in fact, have any sense of social justice," Evan said before taking a sip of his beer. "What I'm saying is that it should," he explained with a small wave of his hand. "There is a distinct failing in the system that media production exists in but," and Evan paused for a dramatic effect. "That is not an inherit problem, which means it can be adjusted to serve a different purpose." Whilst Evan and Blaise had known each other for about twelve minutes now, Evan thought they'd do well. Evan didn't have many (almost any) friends who engaged in academic debates with him, so he was enjoying this. He just hoped that Blaise would understand arguing for arguments sake, since Evan had met plenty of people before who really didn't.
