The room was far more cheerful than any hospital room had a right to be. Colors and cartoons, it was disconcerting. It made sense, of course, putting kids at ease in a scary place. Still, the clown behind the Healer was looking at him and he didn't like it. So, he found a chair in which to flop in the corner to watch the proceedings.
When the Healer cast him a look, he merely shrugged. "I'm just here for emotional support," he said seriously. "She's too pretty to be my kid."
He peered around and spotted a kids book on a nearby table which he scooped up to flip through while the Healer collected a number of potions and instruments from the cabinets.
