WHO: Parvati and Tracey
WHEN: August 1997
WHERE: Madame Malkin's Robe Shop
WHAT: Sniping
CHALLENGE: Backstory (Wicked)
There were, in fact, Slytherin students that Parvati liked. She had friends in every house, and she liked to think of herself as a wonderfully open-minded and kind person. That being said, she hated almost every member of Slytherin House in her year essentially by osmosis, because a few of them were former playmates and current bigots, and that was one thing she could not abide. Besides, they were all so mean for no earthly reason. It was often said - most likely untrue - that all Death Eaters had been Slytherins, and there was no doubt in Parvati's mind about that. Slytherins, at least fifty percent of them and at least one hundred percent of the class of 1998, were wicked to the bone.
Therefore she was not entirely thrilled, upon walking into the robe shop, to find Tracey Davis already there. Tracey was a genuinely terrible person, and Parvati would've been happy to snub her, but they were all alone in the waiting room with the catalogues while Madame Malkin presumably measured other customers in the back.
"Tracey," Parvati said, a bit coldly, and picked up one of the catalogues. "I don't know why you even bother coming here, really, when you care so little about your appearance."
