Ginny didn't care what her neighbours got up to. Their lives were their business, and she'd only been in the building for a month. She had been so busy with moving and the holidays that she hadn't had a chance to visit the tenants on her floor, and this morning was not the time for that. She was hungover, despite not having been to bed yet, and all she wanted was sleep.
She smiled vaguely at the person she passed on the stairs, in case she was someone Ginny would need to borrow sugar from later. She waved weakly at the young man peering into the hallway from his door. That was weird, but her tired smile didn't falter. "Happy new year," she said, her voice hoarse. The extra breath needed to speak caused Ginny to yawn. "Up early or late?"
