She was beginning to feel like this was a date gone poorly, like they'd been dating for a long time and were in a fight. Neither really wanted to leave, but neither were they going to give in and admit they might be wrong. Not that either of them was wrong, because this wasn't a fight and they weren't dating. And Sasha wasn't actually angry at Nikolai, despite what it looked like. No, she was ashamed of herself and her head was still foggy and she didn't feel good.
She fought with herself, between the need for comfort and the need to be left alone, before she responded. Though it was a genuine battle, eventually her standard defense kicked in and she said, "Kind of. I'm really tired." Nikolai was a stand-up guy, she knew he would leave her to sleep once she said that. It wasn't what she wanted, but it was really her only option to avoid further embarrassment.
