On the contrary, even if she'd been stone cold sober, it wouldn't have bothered Sasha to find out that he thought she was beautiful. She wouldn't consider herself self-conscious or anything, but it was still a nice thing to hear from someone she liked, especially someone she found to be attractive too; had it come randomly from just anyone, it would have made her uncomfortable, but not from him, not like this.
"Not a bit," she responded, almost as though seeing him differently. It was definitely the alcohol's fault, because she hadn't previously looked at him and thought, 'I could do a lot worse', but unfortunately for Sasha, she wasn't nearly as smooth when she was drunk as she could be when she was sober. What she should have said was a flirty little line about how she wasn't blind either, and that's what she would have said if she hadn't had so much to drink.
Instead, what her brain told her to do was kiss him, because if she was beautiful and he was super handsome, clearly they should be kissing each other, right? Right. So she did.
