The confirmation that she wanted him hit him like a ton of bricks. For a moment, he felt the wind knocked out of him. All plans on protesting or assurances that he was bad for her went out the window. Because the fact of the matter was that Remus wanted her too. He wanted nothing more than to be able to hold her instead of sitting across the couch wondering what it would be like. To take her out to dinner instead of getting Chinese or pizza like pals.
But reality had to set back in at some point, and it would. It just… hadn’t yet. He didn’t want it to. Time stopped, and it would continue if Remus weren’t hyper aware of the silence now floating around them. She was watching him and he had to say something.
“I don’t want you to get hurt… Dora. Please understand. I’m not good for anybody. If I hurt you, I’d never be able to forgive myself.”
