“What?” he frowned and straightened up a little to fully face her. “Sirius…? No… it’s not Sirius.” Hell, Sirius didn’t know. Remus had been too scared to tell him. Too scared and too sure nothing would come of it. It would only upset his friend, who already had a hot enough temper as it was. Remus didn’t particularly fancy incurring that wrath due to something he thought would never happen.
“It’s me, Nymphadora. I’m not… good for you,” he told her. “You shouldn’t waste your time on someone like me. Not when you could have anyone you wanted.”
