Sirius grinned at Remus and looked around the pub with a sigh, "Yes, all of you true 'adults' seem to be gearing up to head back into the work force." He did use his air quotes to signify how he felt about the term adults. It wasn't that Sirius didn't like the freedom that came with adulthood or shirked it's responsibilities. He just didn't feel like those things should keep a person from enjoying their lives. It could explain a great deal about his attitude about life in general if he took the time the actually ponder that attitude.
He slid Remus a pint and nodded, "I can promise you that you will be the majority of my attention. Whether or not you will want it after we have had a few - well that is completely up to you." He had no doubt in his mind that there was going to be a long evening ahead of them. And he told himself that at least Remus could sleep it off on the train ride back to school...or take it easy the first few days of the term and let the students. He was sure that Minerva was going to send him an owl with an outline of what it was that adults were to do.
And getting one of their best friends drunk as hell before they went back to work would not be on the list. But Sirius was of the mind that if Minerva got drunk a few more times in her lifetime - she would be a bit more open minded. But he sure as hell wasn't going to share that with her. She might try and give him detention even now...
