Looking at his watch, Evan gave a small shrug. "Just before one?" He offered. "My drawing class got cancelled," Evan explained. "So I thought I'll come see if you can get away for lunch," he added walking across the shop so he could lean over the counter and press a kiss against Andrew's lips. Jim, though, had other ideas and made it to the counter before Evan could, jumping up and meowing at Andrew. Evan wasn't actually all that sure where in Hogsmeade they were going to find a place that would feed both them and Jim, but he did suppose they could just walk to the Panquake house and have lunch there.
"I didn't bring Jim," Evan said frowning at the cat who was currently sniffing the till as if it was offensive to him in its sheer existence. "He just... sort of appeared," Evan explained with a shrug. "Can children be swept away by birds?" Evan asked in the same breath. "I met a tiny human who said she had to masquerade as a ladybug so birds wouldn't attack her," he said glancing over at at the window as if Layia was going to suddenly going to be swept past by a bird. "She said it was safer to dress as a ladybug than to risk being taken away by a bird," Evan added, feeling that he was reasonably accurately describing what the child had told him.
