Higgs laughed when Siobhan said voiced his own thoughts about the stubbornness levels of Pippa and Max. "I imagine the world will either implode or they'll get on like a house on fire," Higgs teased. Personally, he absolutely adored Pippa, but he had also grown up with her, as had Siobhan. Max did not have a decades long experience of what Pippa was like. But then, Siobhan had decades long experience of what they both were like, so Higgs presumed that if she, too, thought it'd be rather amusing, then he had chosen well in encouraging Pippa to carry on with a ridiculous plan. At least Higgs was rather sure that she was very unlikely to make things worse.
As for what he'd done to Max in school, Higgs gave a small shrug, taking a sip of his coffee. "Pippa didn't know what I might've said, which seems rather fair," especially since it had been such a long time since school. "But she did remind me that I used to get very annoyed with the way Max was around Marcus. She called it 'best friend jealousy'," Higgs told Siobhan with a grin. "Which seems likely, it's hard for teenagers to realise that their friends might want to have other friends, too," he said. Of course, Higgs didn't actually think Marcus had ever wanted to be friends with Max. Hell, Higgs wasn't all that sure Marcus had ever even noticed the way Max followed him around like a puppy. "I think, at the time I thought Max had a crush on Marcus," Higgs commented thoughtfully.
