Higgs grinned when Siobhan assured him he was fine and that she had enjoyed the food. "Good, I'm glad," he confirmed with a nod, before giving a small shrug in regards to getting on with Max in Siobhan's absence. "It was a bit touch and go at the beginning," Higgs admitted. "But I think the wine truly helped," he added with a smirk. Then, remembering his conversation with Pippa, Higgs gave a small shrug. "Oh, so, I might've done a thing," he said to Siobhan, though as far as Higgs knew, Pippa was yet to speak to Max. "You know how you asked me what I might've done to Max in school to make him dislike me?" Higgs asked, carrying on talking before Siobhan could really reply since it was mostly a rhetorical question.
"I asked Pippa, because she's much better at remembering things concerning me than I am," which Higgs felt was a very fair statement. Higgs believed that Pippa was, in all things, far more competent than Higgs. "Anyway, one thing led to another and I might've told her to convince Max that I'm definitely a nice guy?" Higgs said with another shrug. "I have no idea how successful Pippa might be at this task, but I kind of wish we could watch her try?" In fact, Higgs had said as much to Pippa, that him and Siobhan should get good seats and some popcorn to watch who could out-stubborn whom - Pippa Max or vice versa. Not that Higgs would tell Pippa this, but he really wasn't sure she'd win.
