Higgs laughed when Siobhan said they were risking looking like they were having an affair by handing out together. "I feel it's my civic duty," he informed Siobhan. "To provide the good Healers and medi-witches of St Mungo's with a reasonable level of gossip," Higgs told her. If Siobhan had seemed concerned about it, Higgs might've considered not visiting her at work, but as it was, she seemed to find the whole situation quite funny, which suited Higgs just fine. He'd already made the papers once that year for having many a girlfriend, so Higgs doubted adding one more to that list was going to be terribly noticeable. If there were rumours, though, Higgs hoped that Max would take it in as much good humour as Siobhan did (no matter how hard that possibility was to imagine).
"How have you been?" Higgs asked after a moment. "I'm sorry you had to miss the dinner, but I hope you still enjoyed the food?" He offered before frowning. "That's okay to say, isn't it?" Higgs asked. Siobhan's issues with food was something Higgs wanted to be able to discuss but he also didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable about it. Though, after having asked, Higgs did realise that asking Siobhan if what he said was acceptable after every time he mentioned food was hardly going to be helpful. "Sorry," he said instead, giving a small shake of his head. "I feel that I'm making this unnecessarily awkward," Higgs commented honestly.
