At the mention of his name, Higgs looked up, almost instantly giving a soft smile when he spotted Siobhan. He then gave a small chuckle when she told him they ought to stop meeting in the hospital. She was probably right. As of whether everything was alright, Higgs gave a small shake of his head. "My sister got hit during a quidditch game," he explained, before nodding towards the room in which Gemma was. "The healers say she'll be fine. A concision and a broken arm," Higgs told Siobhan before taking a sip of his coffee, wincing slightly at the horrible taste. "She's not awake yet, though," he added because that really was the worrying bit. Still, the healers had also told Higgs that was normal and he should worry. Which was ridiculous, because of course he was going to worry.
"I guess I just forget just how dangerous her job really is," Higgs admitted. A lot of it, probably, was down to the fact that he had always had a more dangerous job. Still, Higgs didn't particularly care to think of how Gemma must've felt when she had got that call from the hospital last year. Higgs had been in ICU far longer than Gemma was going to take to just heal up.
