When Daphne explained, how perhaps Tracey had just presumed that Daphne would wait and then suddenly she no longer was willing to wait, Roger stilled a little as he thought about it. He had no idea whether that would've been what Tracey had thought, but it was probably somewhat irrelevant if that was what Daphne had felt like. "You're too good to be left waiting," he told Daphne truthfully, leaning in closer to press a soft kiss against her cheek, before pulling back and reaching for his tea. Roger did strongly feel that it was Tracey's loss, but it had somehow, and Roger still had no idea how, ended up being his gain. The thought that if Tracey suddenly decided that she was ready and Daphne would leave wasn't a pleasant one, and Roger pushed it away as quickly as it had appeared, instead taking a sip of his tea, as if the hot liquid would somehow wash it away.
Roger was quite sure that plenty of people were in love with someone who hurt them, but he did suppose that it wasn't easy to be in love with someone like that. Personally, Roger couldn't really judge one way or another since he'd never been in love. Had no idea where one would even start. "Are you going to carry on trying?" He asked Daphne, putting the mug down carefully.
