Mary-Anne knew she had to tell Cedric that there was someone else... well, maybe a someone else but she still had to tell Cedric even if they weren't actually exclusively seeing each other, as far as she knew anyway. However, whenever she tried attempting to tell him she either chickened out before saying anything about it and talked about something else, or something simply interrupted and she lost her nerve as a result. The crazy thing was she and Patrick hadn't even so much as gone out on a date or had even declared that they wanted to see each other in that way. But she just got this kind of indescribable feeling, aside from the awkwardness she sometimes felt whenever she was in Patrick's presence. So even though she couldn't seem to put into words what she felt or that she was nervous at the thought of dating she wanted to maybe see how it could go. Though first that kind of involved telling Cedric before either he or Patrick actually asked her out and left her in an even more awkward position. And now she had the added worry of her cousin Bill having disappeared after an incident with his work at the Ministry. After Ginny had asked the family about helping out, Mary-Anne had been helping by taking the time to spend afternoons and mornings with her aunt; although she wished she could be doing more. For the moment though she was at Panquake House curled up on one of the sofas reading a book. Engrossed as she was in the book it wasn't until she saw a flicker of movement out the corner of her eye that she looked up to see Cedric standing in front of her. "Cedric... Hi," she greeted, giving him a smile, placing a bookmark to mark where she was up to before putting the book down. "This is a bit of a surprise. How are you?" |
