"I'll show you mine if you show me yours?" Higgs offered jokingly, though there was at least some truth in that. Higgs didn't want to share, actively had to force himself to even attend the support group, but the more he went, the more he recognised that there were things he needed to talk about. Maybe having someone who he barely knew to talk to might be easier. Higgs greatly felt like he at times burdened his sister and Pippa, Lydia and Ashleigh, too, no matter how much the women insisted that he didn't. Then again, Higgs was unsure whether he'd necessarily feel any less like he was burdening Siobhan. Perhaps trying was all he could aim for.
Giving a smile when Siobhan expressed that she ought to match his tart, Higgs shook his head. "Most of it came out of a packet, I won't lie," he admitted with a laugh. Then, Higgs' watched beeped, informing him that an hour had gone by and he needed to fetch his robes. "I must go," he offered Siobhan apologetically. "But we'll agree on a day for a dinner, yes?" He more stated than asked. "Thank you for your company," Higgs added with a smile as he finished off his drink.
