Higgs gave a small smile when Siobhan apologised for asking. "It's okay," he told her honestly, reaching across the table to brush his fingers against her hand lightly in assurance that, truly, he didn't mind. If he had, Higgs probably would've told her as much. As it was, whilst awkward, Higgs preferred to actually be able to tell people. At least when asked so directly as Siobhan's question had been. That and whilst Higgs didn't know Siobhan a great deal, he did trust her to keep the information private. Or at least private outside of her relationship. Higgs really didn't expect her not to mention it to Max.
"Yes," Higgs nodded, pulling his hand back, when Siobhan told him that support groups could be fantastic. "That's what I've been slowly learning," he explained. "I joined it... a while back now. More than a month," Higgs told her. The technicalities of the group were much easier to discuss than the content. "It's been a lifesaver, I guess," Higgs said, only realising how true his words probably were after he'd said them. Whilst Higgs had been far from needing his life saved, he had certainly needed help. Probably would always, to at least a degree, need help. "Sorry," Higgs apologised. "I feel I've made this conversation much sadder than it has any right to be."
