She nodded. She thought that it probably wasn't a great leap to think that serving in the armed forces could change a person's perspective. People likely weren't all born soldiers. There were probably plenty of men and women who didn't think they'd make very good soldiers and turned out much better than they gave themselves credit for. "Well, I have to say that I have a great deal of respect for you for serving the country," she said.
"Max is much more made for paperwork than I am," she laughed. "I don't know how he does it. I think that you have to be a very special type of person to be able to deal with that sort of thing. Max is definitely that type." She laughed at his promise. "Well, I would certainly hope not. I would much rather see you on occasions like this than having you in the ward," she smiled. "Which reminds me, we should do dinner again sometime. I had a wonderful time."
