Making himself more comfortable on the sofa, Evan turned to give Lily a smile. "Hey," he greeted. "Ooh, you look tanned," Evan commented, though it was probably a compliment he could receive, too, after having spend a long weekend in Florida. "Bolivia clearly did you well," he added, turning so he could look at Lily better. "How are things?" Evan asked since that had been the point of coming over, to see how Lily's travels had gone and how she was doing in general.
"How's being married to an important Ministry official? Is he corrupt yet? It's been like a week, that's about the time it takes, no?" Evan asked mostly joking. Whilst he did strongly believe that there was an extraordinary amount of corruption going on in the Ministry, he also didn't actually think that James would be very likely to succumb to it. Far too Gryffindor, really. Negligence and mismanagement were probably the sort of things Gryffindors were more likely to accidentally commit.
