Taking a sip of her own coffee, Jun gave a small shrug. "I won't do it if everything you produce is shit," she told Patrick bluntly. "But," she added less harshly. "I have seen some of your work, so I don't imagine it would be shit," she assured. Or well, said in as much of a warm tone as Jun could really manage. Still, it wasn't untrue, from what Jun had seen of Patrick's work, it was very good. She was more than happy to help him expand into earning more money from his own work, rather than painting other people's dogs. From personal experience, Jun was well aware that that got rather tedious very quickly.
"An overall theme might be useful, but isn't necessary," Jun advised. Her own first show had been put on by her mother and Jun was rather sure her overarching theme had been not having a theme. Patrick, though, Jun felt, could do better than she had. "Probably also not dogs in hats," she added slightly more teasingly.
