Yeah, Higgs didn't particular care to imagine what it would feel like to sit on a broom for thirteen hours. Hell, he could remember the sort of discomfort more than a couple of hours gameplay had brought in school, and whilst the professional quidditch brooms were far more advanced than what Hogwarts had, Higgs doubted they were necessarily comfortable to sit on for so long. Nothing really was. Gemma's admission that she might've been less than pleasant to her boyfriend upon getting home made Higgs laugh. "I'm sure that's rather understandable," he assured his sister. "How is that going, by the way? All things still good?" Higgs certainly hoped so. He knew that Gemma wasn't exactly used to dating people, but she had seemed rather happy about this Regulus bloke.
At the question of whether the divorce finalising was a relief, Higgs gave a small shrug. 'Relief' probably wasn't the word he'd use. "It'll be nice to get it over with," was what he settled on instead. Higgs wasn't happy about getting a divorce, he missed Alicia a lot, but he was still convinced this was for the best. There wasn't much for him to do but hope that Alicia would recognise that sooner or later.
When Gemma said that she was unsure Max liked her very much, Higgs gave a small laugh. "Don't worry, Gemlin, I don't think it's you," Higgs assured. "And I did have fun in as much as one can have fun at a hospital," he told his sister giving her a smile when she placed food in front of him. "It looks great," Higgs offered before taking a bite. "Work's giving me couple afternoons off because of it," Higgs said after swallowing. "Not as a punishment," he added since it wasn't. "But as 'maybe you need a break'?" Higgs explained with a small shrug.
