"I like thinking," Padma replied simply. "I like problems and puzzles and learning, I think that's why I like potions so much." She tipped a vial of dried moss into the shallow cauldron and stuck her hands straight in to knead the mixture.
"Making potions is like baking," she said as she worked, "it's unforgiving if you get something just a little bit off. Do things in the wrong order or have the wrong measurements and the whole thing is useless. I like that, it gives me something to work on and improve, while allowing me freedom to exist in my own head now and then."
