Higgs did give a small chuckle at Lydia's assurance that chocolate helped with everything. Rather than challenging that statement, Higgs took another bite of his chocolate frog. All things considered, he couldn't really object, since he was starting to feel better, most of that, though, Higgs was sure, was to do with Lydia's company rather than her chocolate supply. When she pondered how a boggart got into the Alley, Higgs gave a shrug as he didn't have those sort of answers, nor was it something particularly interested him right this minute. Though, perhaps, later on, he would flag it up with the aurors. There was another shrug when Lydia asked if he wanted to talk about it. The answer was 'no', but Higgs was slowly learning that 'wanting to talk' was very different from 'needing to talk'.
"Explosions," he replied to the question Lydia hadn't asked. "I had to--" There Higgs paused with a sigh. "Someone else had to banish the boggart," he explained quietly. The way the sound and light had made Higgs feel--he was really quite glad someone had stopped it, because Higgs wasn't sure he even could have. Which wasn't exactly the greatest of positions to be in. "I don't do well with loud noises," he added as a massive understatement.
