"Can we take a look outside?" Max asked, and the estate agent waved them over to the door, unlocking it and sliding it open. "Thank you," Max said. "We'll be back in a moment." With that, while still being utterly polite, Max ensured they had a moment of privacy in the spacious garden. "One thing we have to consider," he said quietly, his arm still around Siobhan in case she should feel the cold, "is neighbours. Here, there's windows on either side overlooking the garden. It would mean no toy broomsticks, and we'd have to keep an eye out in case we needed to call the Ministry to cover up anything inexplicable." Their children would, of course, be magical, and in a muggle neighbourhood that meant taking certain precautions. "If we lived in a magical area, or even somewhere more rural, we wouldn't have to be so vigilant." It wasn't a reason they definitely couldn't live in this house - or one like it - but it was something to think about.
Despite the fact there were a lot of different things to think about, Max was happy with how the house hunting was going so far. There had been a risk - though not, he'd thought, a very large one - that they'd have completely different ideas of where they wanted to live. So far, they seemed to agree about most of what was important. "It's a shame we can't just magically move the kitchen from house two in here, isn't it?" he said. "But unless we bought both of them - which even I think is excessive - we'll have to make do with an approximation."
