Evan had a plan. And like most of Evan's plans, this particular plan involved his sister. Daisy wasn't necessary for the plan but she was greatly preferred. Which is how Evan ended up outside the Slytherin dungeon of evil at about quarter past six in the evening. People were still going and coming to the dinner but Evan felt rather sure that he'd find Daisy here. Once he managed to get it. "No, you can't," the fourth year boy repeated when Evan attempted to walk through the door. "You're not a Slytherin, you can't come in," he added with more conviction that Evan would have given him credit for.
"I'm the Head Boy," he said again before sighing. "Do you--no, of course, you don't know what that means." Another deep sigh. "It means that I have authority to enter any student spaces of residence in order to inspect that no misbehaving is occurring. Is this clear or do you need me to repeat it slower?" The boy was clearly startled by this information because he frowned deeply as if to consider whether Evan could potentially be telling the truth. And then, in the most Slytherin fashion, the boy smiled.
"What do I get for letting you in?" He asked.
"Well," Evan dragged the word out as if he was genuinely considering the proposal. Which, well, no. Because he was right. The Head Boy and Girl were allowed to inspect rooms if they suspected suspicious behaviour. And Evan could whole heartedly guarantee that he would find alcohol in Daisy's room. Because he was currently carrying it. "I won't strip Slytherin of thirty house points for obstructing the work of the Head Boy?" He offered and the younger boy frowned. "And, yes, I can do that." And this, this was the good thing about Slytherins, unlike bloody Gryffindors they knew when they had been beat and the younger boy moved aside, even if sighing dramatically.
The thing was, though, once inside the Slytherin dungeon of evil, no one questioned why Evan was there. This was hardly the first time he'd visited the other house's quarters. He made his way up to the girls dormitories, because, of course the Slytherin house had figured out how to break that particular spell, and knocked on Daisy's door, opening it before getting a response.
"I sense that rules are being broken in this room," he proclaimed loudly upon entry. "Or, certainly," Evan added. "They will be."
