Cedric could understand very well why Mary-Anne would be glad not to have been involved, even if he didn't personally agree. "My sister had a nightmare about -" Cedric stopped, deciding that the truth, that Haley had dreamed about Cedric dying, was probably not appropriate for a date. "About the Triwizard Tournament," he said instead, "so that involved me, but I haven't had any memories or feelings myself." Perhaps if he'd been personally affected Cedric wouldn't have been able to be as academic about it, but he felt like he'd rather have the first-hand experience to work from. "I'd still love to know more about it, about what happened in that universe, and why these memories all seem to be coming from the same one, and what's special about it." He shrugged. "If I were to go into the Department of Mysteries I would definitely study time."
Cedric took a sip of his wine and smiled, the taste bringing back memories of nights under the stars in Greece with his colleagues. "No," he agreed, "it would definitely have to be quite a gentle light. But I feel like we're talking entirely too much about me. Tell me more about you. Have you travelled much?"
